Clean My TV

Privacy Policy

Last updated November 6, 2026

Clean My TV has no account and no servers of its own. What it learns about your TV stays on your iPhone, apart from the requests listed below.

Your TV

The app talks to your TV directly over your Wi-Fi, using the TV's own debugging connection. The TV's name, model, address, installed apps and the history of what you turned off or on are kept on your iPhone only. The key your TV recognises your iPhone by stays in the iOS Keychain, which iOS may keep after the app is deleted.

App icons

To show an app's icon, Clean My TV looks the app up on Google Play by its package name (for example com.netflix.ninja), the way a browser would open its page. Google's privacy policy covers that request. Icons are kept on your iPhone after the first look.

Ad blocking

When you turn on Block All Ads, your TV sends the names of the websites its apps reach to AdGuard DNS, which answers ads and trackers with nothing. AdGuard's privacy policy covers that. Turn it off and the TV goes back to its usual DNS.

Purchases

Apple handles payment; we never see your card. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous ID made for this app and your purchase history, to tell the app whether Pro is on. No name, email or TV data is sent.

App usage statistics

From version 1.0.1, the app sends anonymous usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase: which screens of the setup were reached, whether a TV connected, that a clean started, and when the paywall was shown or a subscription started. Events carry the TV maker and rounded numbers such as a score range. They don't include your TV's name or address, your app list, your name or email, and they are not linked to you. The advertising identifier is not collected. Firebase gives the app an installation ID to count these events; it is also passed to RevenueCat so purchase and usage counts can be matched. Firebase privacy information.

This website

cleanmytv.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and clicks on the App Store button. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it runs without analytics cookies (Consent Mode, cookieless pings). The site has no ads and no sign-up.

Tracking

Neither the app nor this site tracks you across other companies' apps or websites, shows ads or sells anything about you.

Your choices

Deleting the app removes what it stored on your iPhone, except the Keychain key mentioned above. Usage events are not tied to you, so there is nothing to look up by name; write to us if you have a question about your data.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from them.
